The two Telehealth approaches I offer are videoconferencing and telephone-based.
With the internet being known to have glitches in its security, it is important that our sessions are as secure as possible. The safety of sensitive client information is extremely important to me. As such, all videoconferencing sessions take place on HIPAA compliant platforms who have a steady record of security. Facetime and Skype do not make the cut.
HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) is a federal law that was passed in 1996, laying out the standards for the safety of client information. The law covers a wide range of safety protocols, with its most well known being client confidentiality. I am fully committed to upholding the standards and practices of HIPPA.
I use the videoconferencing platforms ZOOM and DOXY ME for our meetings and they are both easy to use.
